Rory McIlroy is a 26-time winner on the PGA Tour and has won four major championships in his 17 years of professional career. However, according to him, his coolest shot wasn't from any of the Tour or major championships but from the Ryder Cup 2023.
Last week, Rory McIlroy competed at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where he tied for 25th. Recently, he also gave an exclusive interview to Kyle Porter for Normal Sport.
During the interview with Porter, the Northern Irishman revealed his coolest shot.
"The coolest shot is that pitch shot at the Ryder Cup last year," he said. "So that's the coolest shot I think I've probably ever played.
Last year, Rory McIlroy emerged as the best performer for Team Europe at the Ryder Cup, finishing the event with a 4-1-0 win-loss-halve record. During the final fourball match on Day 2, he hit a spinning pitch shot that stopped just a foot from the 17th hole.

Rory McIlroy slams the media in his latest interview
In the interview with Kyle Porter, Rory McIlroy went on to slam the media for their negative coverage of golf.
"And I always wonder why some people in the media ask questions that have a negative connotation toward golf, or make golf look bad or put it in a bad light," he said. "I get that it's human nature and negativity sells. And that's why CNN is the way it is, and why Fox News is the way it is and all that stuff."
"But if we're all in this together and we all know that we can benefit by raising the game up, some people in the media I'd love to ask why their coverage of golf is so negative," he added.
The 34-year-old golfer will now take a few weeks' break before returning to action. He won two titles on the PGA Tour this season but suffered heartbreak at the U.S. Open, where a few errors on the final holes cost him another major.
On the DP World Tour, McIlroy also won the Dubai Desert Classic but finished runner-up three times this year. Last month, he finished runner-up at both the Irish Open and the BMW PGA Championship. He is once again leading the Race to Dubai points list and is currently placed second in the European Ryder Cup points list.
