Scottie Scheffler gets publicly roasted by Sam Burns at the Tour Championship

Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns are playing at the Tour Championship this week at East Lake Golf Course. During the second round, Scheffler took a shot from a sand bunker that landed on another sand bunker. After his shot, Sam Burns joined the commentary and hilariously scorned the golfer's performance.

Currently, Scheffler is atop the leaderboard after two rounds with 21-under and Sam Burns is in the seventh spot with 11-under, 10 shots behind the World No. 1. PGA Tour uploaded the clip to their official social media handle on X.

“This guy’s terrible,” said Sam Burns.

In the first round, Scottie Scheffler dropped two birdies and a bogey on the front nine. Then, he carded five birdies on the back nine to finish at 65. In the second round, Scheffler shot three birdies on the front nine and another on the 10th hole. Next, he bogeyed the 13th to score one birdie on hole 16. After he birdied the 18th hole, his final score stood at 66.

On the other hand, Sam Burns started the first round with a bogey on hole 1 and then birdied the 4th. Next, he bogeyed the 5th and then, dropped five more birdies to settle the score at 67. In the next round, he carded two birdies on the front nine and two at the back nine to land at 68.

Scottie Scheffler will start at 2:55 pm with Collin Morikawa. Sam Burns will play with Tony Finau at 2:22 pm. Wyndham Clark and Adam Scott are scheduled to begin at 2:33 pm. Billy Horschel will start at 12:11 pm with Chris Kirk.

Viktor Hovland, who won the Tour Championship last year, will play at 12:22 pm with Christiaan Bezuidenhout. Sepp Straka and Keegan Bradley will start at 12:44 pm for the third round.
