Scottie Scheffler visited the Ailsa Course at Trump Turnberry in Turnberry, South Ayrshire, Scotland ahead of the 2024 Open Championship. The 152nd edition of the tournament will be played at Royal Troon Golf Club in Troon, South Ayrshire from July 18 to 21, 2024.Scheffler was accompanied by his friend and golfer Sam Burns to the practice at the golf course. Awesome golf course. Incredible. And we got to beat up on our caddies today, too."The Alisa course was originally designed by 1883 Open Champion Willie Fernie. It was recently re-designed by Martin Ebert from 2015 to 2016. The course is 71 par and of 7489 yards.The Turnberry Resort and golf courses changed hands in 2024 when former US President Donald Trump bought the property for 60 million. Trump later renamed it Trump Turnberry. Trump Organization claims to have done renovation worth $200 million after buying the golf course.Scheffler and Burns will be participating in the fourth Major of the year, the 2024 Open Championship next week. Both took three weeks off the golf course after participating in the 2024 Travelers Championship.
