Swiss golf sensation Chiara Tamburlini won the LET Order of Merit, joining an elite group of star golfers for a historic record. She recently competed in the Aramco Team Series Riyadh, finishing in the top 10.

The tournament concluded on November 2, with Charley Hull registering a three-stroke victory. Meanwhile, Tamburlini settled in a tie for seventh place with a remarkable performance, securing enough points to be awarded the LET Order of Merit.

This achievement came just two weeks after the Swiss golfer won the Rookie of the Year title. Now, Tamburlini has made history as the seventh player to win both titles, joining the prestigious ranks of Carlota Ciganda, Dame Laura Davies, Atthaya Thitikul, Esther Henseleit, Linn Grant, and Trichat Cheenglab.

Chiara Tamburlini has been phenomenal with her game at the Aramco Team Series Riyadh, which helped her claim the LET Order of Merit. She began the tournament with a round of 69 on Thursday, October 31, shooting four birdies and a bogey.

She followed it up with another 69, carding five birdies and two bogeys. In the third round, she recorded two bogeys and five birdies for a final round of 69. With a total of 9-under, Chiara Tamburlini finished in a tie for seventh place. Meanwhile, Charley Hull shot rounds of 65, 67, and 68 to win the title.

"I'm actually quite emotional right now"- Chiara Tamburlini after winning the LET Order of Merit

With her final round of 69 at the Aramco Team Series Riyadh, Tamburlini secured seventh place in the tournament and clinched the LET Order of Merit. Following the event, she shared her thoughts on her performance and achievements, including winning Rookie of the Year and the Order of Merit.

Speaking emotionally about her season, Tamburlini said (via Sporting News):

"I'm actually feeling quite emotional right now. I knew the significance of having a good finish as I'd talked about it with my playing partner Carlotta Ciganda. She also won both the Rookie of the Year and the Order of Merit in her first season on tour. I can't quite believe it. I'm so happy right now."

Chiara Tamburlini had a phenomenal season on the Ladies European Tour this year. Turning professional in 2023, she joined the LET in 2024, winning three tournaments in her debut year. Her maiden LET win came at the Joburg Ladies Open, securing a seven-stroke victory over Anuchisa Utama. She went on to win the Lacoste Ladies Open de France and the Wistron Ladies Open.

So far, the 24-year-old has won five professional tournaments in her career. Last year, she claimed two victories in events on the LET Access Series, including the PGA Championship Gothenburg and the Rose Ladies Open. She was also awarded the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year last year and has now added two more awards to her name.
