Greg Norman is excited to see the PGA Tour and LIV golfers competing in the same field at the 2023 Masters. Despite the Saudi-backed series players being barred from the PGA Tour, they received an invitation to compete in the tournament.

The Masters is just around the corner and golfers and officials are elated about the tournament. Greg Norman spoke up about the major event in a press conference at LIV Golf Orlando. The former Australian golfer revealed that he wants to see the rivals battle it out at the 2023 Masters to win the green jacket. He said:

"If I‘m in the Masters right now, I would want, on Sunday, DJ or Brooks or Cam, any of the guys against Rory and Jon Rahm. Can you imagine what the TV ratings would be like? It’s what people want, It’s what the TV wants. The ratings will be far higher than any other ratings if you‘ve got Rory playing any one of our top guys.”

Greg Norman also explained that the thought of LIV Golf players playing on the 18th hole of the historic Augusta National Golf Course gives him goosebumps. He said:

"There’s talk in our teams all around here. There are 18 of us LIV guys at Augusta and if one of the guys, no matter who it is, they are all going to be there on the 18th green. They are all going to be there, and that just gives me goosebumps to think about.
"When you walk up 18, your caddy hugs you then you see your wife or your mum and dad. Now to have those 17 other guys there, that’s the spirit we want. That’s what these guys talk about. They are saying no matter who wins, no matter who is in that position, we are going to be there and that just gives me goosebumps".

"I still love the PGA Tour"- Brooks Koepka shows his excitement playing with the PGA Tour players

Greg Norman is not the only one looking forward to The Masters. LIV Golf player Brooks Koepka also revealed in his interview with I News that he is excited about the tournament.

Koepka said that he has nothing against the PGA Tour or its commissioner Jay Monahan. He said:

"I still love the PGA Tour; I’ve got nothing against them. A lot of guys I see on a daily basis around Jupiter still play on the PGA Tour. I have nothing against them. I have nothing against Jay (Monahan)."

Koepka added:

"It’s just competition, right? We are just trying to put up the best model we can, the best golf and then it’s up to the fans. We want people to watch and come to the events. We want to put on a show for everybody.”

The 2023 Masters is slated to take place from April 6-9 on the Augusta National Golf Course. Scottie Scheffler will return to defend his title at the Masters along with many other PGA Tour and LIV golfers.
