Paige Spiranac shares the mechanics of "the putter"
Apart from Instagram, Paige Spiranac is also regular on YouTube where she has gained more than 435k followers. In a recent YouTube video in her series "The Beginner's Guide to Starting Golf", Spiranac talked about the Putter.
In the video, Spiranac started by explaining the purpose of the putter and its role in golf. She said:
"The putter is what you're going to be using on the putting green, and the green is the tightest of all the grasses that you're going to be playing on. That's the easiest way to remember it. It's the last thing you're also going to be doing because you're hitting it into the hole."
Spiranac described different types of putters. She shared:
"A putter has all different types of head shapes, so putting is very personalized based on what people prefer. Some people like a wider grip; some people like a smaller grip. There are all different types of holes. Some people like when it's more curved like this; some people have them bent."
Paige Spiranac said that she preferred a smaller head in her putter. She described that there are two main types of putters with small blades and larger mallet with some hybrids in between. At the end of the video, she suggested that beginners start with any putter and focus on practicing their swing.
