Scottie Scheffler is a phenomenal golfer. Having won two PGA Tour events in 2023, he is unstoppable.

On Sunday, March 12, Scheffler won the prestigious Players Championship by five shots. He defeated Tyrrell Hatton by five strokes to lift the trophy at TPC Sawgrass.

With the win, Scottie Scheffler returned to the top position in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Fans were happy about his win and congratulated the amazing golfer in the comments section of the post shared by the PGA Tour on their Twitter account. People dubbed him unstoppable and claimed that he is one of the best golfers in the world. They wrote:

"This dude is unstoppable"
"Phenomenal player"

Meanwhile, one user jokingly talked about his resounding performances on the greens over the past few months. The American golfer always had a great showing for his fans every time he played the game. One user commented:

"Great guy and great player but it's starting to get boring watching him trounce the field every other weekend!"

People also talked about Jon Rahm, who unfortunately could not compete in the tournament till the end due to his illness. However, he is also playing the best golf of his career. Rahm has won three PGA Tour events this year. One fan jotted:

"Absolute machine, him and Rahm are so far clear of everyone else"

Another wrote:

"We are witnessing some serious golf here. With Scheffler, Rahm and Mcilroy going head to head. And then some extremely talented players forcing them to play top tier golf. Good time to be a golf fan."

Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler, and Rory McIlroy are the top three golfers in the world rankings. They are giving stiff competition to one another.

The world rankings are changing more frequently these days. Scottie took away the number one title from Rory McIlroy and then within a week, he was dethroned by Jon Rahm. On March 12, Scheffler reclaimed the title and topped the OWGR.

"He’s very impressive"- Tyrell Hatton appreciates Scottie Scheffler on his win at the Players Championship

Scottie Scheffler had a clear five-shot victory over Tyrell Hatton. Hatton finished the last round at seven par 69. He made eight birdies and a bogey to wrap up at 276.

Scottie Scheffler played really well at the tournament and impressed people with his clap-worthy performance. Tyrell Hatton also appreciated the American golfer for his win and said:

"He’s had an amazing 15-month stretch of golf. He’s very impressive, incredibly consistent. [I] played with him last Sunday and it was clear like he didn’t have his best that day, but he still hung around and had a chance there right at the end. It’s a pretty tough thing to do to be up there when you don’t have your best golf and still give yourself a chance to win.’’

Viktor Hovland and Tom Hoge finished in third position while Hideki Matsuyama in fifth. Min Woo Lee finished in a seven-way tie alongside Justin Suh, Justin Rose, Sungjae Im, Cam Davis, and David Lingmerth in the sixth position.
