It was his first season playing in the Saudi league, and a memorable one as he won the individual championship.

Rahm won his second event on the circuit at the recently concluded LIV Golf Chicago event, and with that, he also won the individual championship for the season.

LIV Golf shared a video of Jon Rahm celebrating his win on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:

"RAHMBO IS THE 2024 LIV GOLF LEAGUE INDIVIDUAL CHAMPION 🏆 #LIVGolf @LegionXIIIgc."

"Today was a special day in many ways" - Jon Rahm on winning LIV Golf Chicago 2024

Jon Rahm had a successful year playing on the Saudi Circuit. He won two tournaments and finished in the top 10 in all the events he played this season.

At the LIV Golf Chicago event, he got off to a rough start with a round of 1-under 69, but bounced back in the next two rounds and ultimately won the season-ending individual tournament. He shot two bogey-free concluding rounds to settle for a total of 11-under and registered a three-stroke victory over Joaquin Niemann.

In the press conference of the LIV Golf Chicago, Rahm opened up about his performance and said (via ASAP Sports):

"Today was a special day in many ways. I woke up really nervous today, as I thought I would, and even warming up, I told Adam, man, I'm nervous. But then I started thinking, playing with Sergio and Brooks, last time both me and Sergio played good, it was a good Sunday in Valderrama; Sergio ended up winning. Last time I went up against Brooks, he ended up beating me. I wanted to hopefully do a really good showing this time and maybe get it over the line."

With the conclusion of the LIV Golf Chicago event, the individual winner of the season was also declared as Jon Rahm topped the standings with 235.17 points and won the title for the season.

Notably, the Saudi Circuit players will next compete at the Team Championship in Dallas. The tournament will take place from September 20 to 22, and with that, the 2024 season will come to an end.
