Important quotes from the biggest golfers at Valspar Championship

Taylor Moore spoke about his win via Golf Channel:

“I might have been under the radar to some people watching, but I felt like I was in the golf tournament from the time I teed off today and was just excited to control what I could control and get it done."

Since it's his first win, this was a rather monumental occasion for Moore, who told NBC:

"It hasn't really hit me yet. I was just in compete mode and just watching the guys finish, maybe in a play-off, maybe not, and it's so cool. It's so awesome, it's what I work for and I'm really excited not just for me but for everyone around me. It's a cool moment."

Jordan Spieth, who came up just short, said:

“I thought it was me and Adam. I thought it was down to us two. I was thinking it was Tommy one back of us with a few holes to go and so I thought we could still kind of control it from the last group. Then I saw 10 (under) was posted walking off 16 green.”

After blowing a bit of a lead, Schenk said:

“Wish I could have lightly hit somebody and stayed where I had a chance to get to the green, but it did not, and I didn’t deserve it... It stinks to get so close."

Sam Burns, who had won the event twice in a row and was going for his third consecutive win, came up a bit short of continuing his run of dominance at the Valspar Championship with a -5.
