On Sunday, October 13, Dan Bradbury made four birdies, including three back-to-back on the back nine, to win the FedEx Open de France. Among the three straight birdies, the one on the par-4 15th was the lucky one, where he just avoided the water to land his shot on the green.
Bradbury carded 5-under 66 in the final round of the Open de France to finish at 18-under. He registered a one-shot win to claim his second win on the DP World Tour.
During the final day at Le Golf National in Paris, Bradbury made a fortunate approach shot from the rough on the 15th hole. The ball off the tee landed near the water hazard, and from where he picked up the shot.
The second shot wasn't safe either, as the ball could have found the water if it had gone just a few meters to the right. However, the ball landed on the green just 15 feet from the hole, from where Bradbury easily made the birdie.

"Sometimes you just need that" - Dan Bradbury reflects on the lucky birdie
During the winner's press conference, Dan Bradbury said he got lucky off the tee.
"I feel like I've had a few bad breaks this week so quite nice to get a good one there," he said, as per Sky Sports. "And then I just pushed it (the second shot), straight up pushed it, and luckily it stayed on (the green). Hit a horrendous putt that went in and sometimes you just need that."
The purse size of the Open de France was $3.25 million, and Dan Bradbury bagged $552,500 as a winner's share. The Englishman began the week as ranked 98th in the Race to Dubai standings but has now moved to 25th, helping him to qualify for the playoffs in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Jeff Winther, Yannik Paul, Sam Bairstow, and Thorbjørn Olesen tied for second at 15-under, while Francesco Laporta and Matthew Jordan finished T6 at 14-under.
