Earlier this year in June, Donald Trump grabbed people’s attention when, during a campaign event, he criticized America's current president, Joe Biden, for his golf skills. He even challenged Biden to a golf match, saying (The Economic Times):
"I'm also officially challenging Joe to an 18-hole golf match right here. If he wins, I will give the charity of his choice, any charity that he wants, USD 1 million. And I'll bet you he doesn't take the offer. ...What that match will do is prove that Joe is, in fact, all talk and no action."
However, Biden's campaign reportedly rejected the challenge, releasing a statement saying:
"Joe Biden doesn't have time for Donald Trump's weird antics - he's busy leading America and defending the free world. Donald Trump is a liar, a convict, and a fraud only out for himself - par for the course,"
Donald Trump's love for the game of golf is quite evident. He enjoys the game and often plays the sports.
When Donald Trump collaborated with Bryson DeChambeau for a golf challenge
Although Trump did not end up playing a golf match with Joe Biden, he later collaborated with LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau for a YouTube video. The American golfer is known for his YouTube videos and sharing golf content.
For that, Trump joined DeChambeau for a "Break-50" challenge. The video went viral on the internet, with fans enjoying watching Donald Trump play the game.
Following their collaboration, Bryson DeChambeau later spoke about Donald Trump's game in an interview with Golf.com. He said:
"Man, his iron play was great. I can’t tell you the number of times he stuffed it on the green within 30 feet of regulation. His driver swing is the most repeatable thing I have ever seen. I wish mine was that repeatable. Really, I do."
Trump also spoke about his collaboration with DeChambeau earlier this year, saying (Mirror.com):
"DeChambeau] hits the ball a mile, but I hit it far also. We played very good. He said ‘I can’t believe how good you are’. I helped him a lot. Hit hits the ball about 380, he’s the longest hitter on tour and he just won the U.S. Open. He’s a handsome guy, he’s a great guy, he loves the people, he loves the country."
Bryson DeChambeau and Donald Trump's YouTube video has garnered over 12 million views so far.
