Michael Block certainly stole hearts at the 2023 PGA Championship. The professional player earned new fans all over the world with his playing style and his absolute love for the game. He finished the Championship with consistency, even making a hole in one in the last round.

Block walked away from the Championship finishing T15 and took home just under $300,000. His caddie, John Jackson, however got the biggest surprise ever, when he realised just how much he would be taking home. Jackson used a calculator to figure out his actual earnings and the reaction caught on camera was priceless.

This was Michael Block's highest-ever finish at a PGA Tournament, which also made this his highest paycheck yet. If Block earned $288,333, then his caddie walked away with a whopping $20,183.31. His excitement was uncontrollable with the pair sharing a handshake for the achievement.

John Jackson was a California State University, Monterey Bay golfer himself and won the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2011. Jackson was supportive of Block throughout the entire Championship and was even more awestruck than the golfer himself when he finished T15.

With a new-found stardom, Jackson is already getting booked by groups at Pebble Beach where he works. However, they will have to wait for some time, as Block is onto the Charles Schwab Challenge next week after receiving a sponsor exemption.
