During the press conference after round one, Rory said strolling around the Old Course on his dad's birthday is pretty cool."Lovely to be out here with him. We've done this a few times before. It's his 65th birthday on Saturday. So, to be able to stroll around the Old Course with him on the 65th is going to be a pretty cool occasion. Delighted to be out here with him," Rory said.Unfortunately, the McIlroy father-son will not play the final round of the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in the team championship, as only the top 20 golfers will make it to the final day.
