Weather condition at the Masters: Day 3 weather forecast for Masters 2023

The 2023 Masters suffered from severe weather conditions on Friday, April 7, as the game was suspended without the completion of round 2.

Friday's forecast was miles away from being favorable for the game as heavy storms were in the forecast. Tee times were thus moved up by 30 minutes but the play had to be stopped just 20 minutes later.

Play resumed for a while before totally getting halted at 3:07 p.m. ET due to weather conditions. Three trees fell due to strong winds, luckily without injuring any spectators who were standing nearby.

Masters' official statement read:

"Augusta National Golf Club can confirm that no injuries were reported from three trees that were blown over to the left of the No. 17 tee due to wind. The safety and well-being of everyone attending the Masters Tournament will always be the top priority of the Club, which will continue to closely monitor weather today and through the Tournament."

The forecast for the third day isn't ideal either, with the possibility of the Masters finishing on Monday if the conditions don't improve.

Saturday:

• The weather is expected to be cloudy and colder with a 100 percent possibility of rainfall. The rainfall can be between 1.00" and -2.00". The maximum temperature will be 51F.
• Winds are expected to flow in the Northeast direction at a speed of between12-18 mph.

Saturday Night:

• Just like the daytime, the chances of rainfall are high at night as well with a 90% possibility of a downpour at Augusta National.
• The temperature will be low around 45F with winds flowing between 12-18mph.
