Eric Cole and Chris Kirk were pretty close in the fourth round of the Honda Classic at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. However, Kirk eventually emerged victorious in the playoffs.

Both Cole and Kirk finished 72 holes tied at 14-under 266 with Cole shooting 67 and Kirk shooting 69 on Sunday.

Kirk had a one-shot lead prior to the par-5 18th and his tee shot found the fairway too, but his next shot went into the water, which led to a bogey. Cole did one better and it was time for the playoffs.

For his first PGA Tour win in eight years, Kirk received $1,512,000 and has also qualified to play the Masters again for the first time in seven years. Cole got $915,600 for the runner-up finish.

World No. 380, Tyler Duncan shot the fourth round at 66 and finished in third place with an aggregate of 12-under. Ryan Gerard, who was a Monday qualifier, had a dream run at the Honda Classic as he finished fourth at 10-under, carding the final round of 67.
