The Black Desert Championship, which is a brand-new tournament for the PGA Tour, is taking place this weekend. The schedule has slowed a bit now that the FedEx Cup season has concluded, but the Tour still has events. This one functions like every other non-Signature Event, which is to say that it has a cut that will be made after two rounds.

Currently, the projected cut line is four under par. Data Golf gives that figure a 38.5% chance of being the final cut when the round is complete. However, it is not the only option, as things can change quickly.

An alternative cut line is five under, which has a 30.2% chance of being the cut. Additionally, one other option is three under. Data Golf projects an 18.3% chance of that being the final number.

It is worth noting that this can and will change. The tournament is currently suspended, but there are a lot of holes still to be played before the cut is made. That is why the percentages are fairly low.

Currently, there are a lot of golfers at risk of missing the cut. These include Mike Weir, Carl Yuan, Dylan Wu, Trey Mullinax, Michael Kim, Luke List, Justin Suh, Ryo Hisatsune, Joel Dahmen, and Michael Thorbjornsen.

While there is time to turn it around at the Black Desert Championship, some golfers will probably not make the cut even now. Among them are Paul Barjon, Ben Taylor, Chez Reavie, Seamus Power, Peter Malnati, and Martin Trainer.

Adam Svensson shoots 60 in the opening round of the Black Desert Championship

While play is currently suspended, Adam Svensson was able to complete his first round before the delay came in. He was able to shoot a career-best -11 in the first round, shooting 60 overall. Last week, David Skinns shot 60 in the opening round as well.

Via CBS Sports, Svensson wasn't sure his putt for 60 was going to go in:

"I thought it was going to go left and it went right and went in. You've got to get a little bit lucky here and there. But overall I played very well."

The golfer said his opening play at the Black Desert Championship was "one of those rounds where everything just comes together." Henrik Norlander was able to hit all 14 fairways and all 18 greens in a thrilling effort that saw him shoot 62 overall as well.

Norlander said:

"I think everybody out on this tour when they play well, every course is going to be fine for them, and vice versa. I really like it here. It's a fun course, a lot of opportunities, but you've got to hit good shots because the greens are somewhat severe, and you've got to get it in the right portions to play well."

Svensson currently leads at 11 under, while Norlander is tied for second at nine under after concluding play on Thursday.
