Day 1 of the 2024 Black Desert Championship ended with Adam Svensson in the lead. The Canadian golfer recorded a career-best 11 under 60 to take a two-shot lead on Thursday. PGA Tour debutant Matt McCarty and European Henrik Norlander followed the leader at the picturesque Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah, after round 1.

Svensson will tee off on Day 2 of the Black Desert Championship early at 10:24 am. Camilo Villegas and Luke List will join him on the first tee. The trio will follow the pairing of Chez Reavie, Ryan Brehm and Kevin Kisner, and the pairing of Chesson Hadley, Robby Shelton and Matti Schmid will follow them.

Notably, Svensson had a stellar round 1 outing in Utah. The golfer made a 35-foot eagle putt and closed with a birdie from the bunker at the end of his round. His career-best 60 marked the PGA Tour's historic return to Utah after 61 years.

Adam Svensson said about his opening round, as quoted by PGATOUR.com:

“I thought it was going to go left and it went right and went in. You’ve got to get a little bit lucky here and there. But overall I played very well... It’s just one of those rounds where everything just comes together."

Interestingly, this is the second straight week during the FedExCup Fall schedule where a player recorded 60. David Skinns narrowly missed 59 last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship after he fumbled a 10-foot putt.

2024 Black Desert Championship Round 2 tee times

Day 2 of the Black Desert Championship will begin at 7:45 am ET on Friday. The pairing of Scott Piercy, Ben Griffin and Brandon Wu will take the opening tee on tee No. 10. Garrick Higgo, Troy Merritt and Mike Weir will follow suit at 7:56 am. Meanwhile, the grouping of C.T. Pan, Tim Wilkinson and Hayden Springer will begin proceedings on tee No. 1 at 9:40 am.

Notably, Black Desert Championship early fan favorite and second-placed McCarty will enjoy the last tee of the day from tee No. 10 at 2:25 pm ET alongside Michael Thorbjornsen and Peter Kuest.
