Fans on social media have shared their opinions on the PGA Tour forming a "Creator Council" comprising some popular golf influencers. The American golf series has constantly been putting efforts into creating strategies to attract audiences.
Earlier this year, they hosted a Creator Classic for golf influencers and have now recently created a council for them. The PGA Tour's Creator Council consists of the ten most popular influencers who will regularly meet with the circuit's officials and create strategies to increase fan engagement and create golf content.
Social media sensation Paige Spiranac, along with other popular influencers such as Roger Steele, Bob Does Sports, Bryan Bros, Fore Play/Barstool Sports, Tisha Alyn, Erik Anders Lang, and No Laying Up, are part of the committee.
Recently, Nuclr Golf shared the news about the Creator Council on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:
"The PGA TOUR announces they’ve formed a ‘Creator Council’ to discuss fan engagement strategy and future content opportunities. The council will consist of influencer & content heavyweights: Bob Does Sports, Bryan Bros Golf, Erik Anders Lang, Foreplay, No Laying Up, Paige Spiranac, Roger Steele, Tisha Alyn."
Fans jumped to the comments section to share their opinions. However, they had mixed reactions. Some called it a "disaster."
"What a disaster ..," a fan said.
Meanwhile, some pointed out LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau being missing from the council.
"Where is Bryson," another fan wrote.
Another fan suggested adding Grant Horvat to the group.
"Solid group. They should add Grant Horvat IMO," a fan commented.
Yet, someone was critical of the new council.
"LOL. The PGA is in a blender," one more fan said.
"Just stupid," a fan said.
