Team USA's star golfer, Nelly Korda, had a decent round on the moving day. She remains T7 after round three as she carded -2 for the day and scored -4 for the event. Korda is five strokes behind the lead as Lydia Ko and Morgane Metraux co-lead the event at -9.

The former gold medal winner had a disappointing start to the 2024 Paris Olympics as she carded even par and -2 in the first two rounds. Korda had a disappointing start to the third round as she started with two bogeys on the first three holes.

It looked like she was slipping away on a demanding day as the overcast conditions and wind made scoring challenging. But the World No.1 golfer made an excellent comeback to neutralize this start as she carded three birdies to finish the front nine at -1.

She carried this momentum on the back nine as she carded two more birdies. However, she dropped a shot on the 17th hole and eventually finished -2 for the day and -4 for the event.

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist has a task on her hands as she begins her final round, five strokes behind the leader. Nelly Korda's situation is similar to that of Scottie Scheffler, as he started his final round four strokes behind the lead but eventually won the event.

So, Korda will hope for a similar finish. She is one of the few golfers in the world who can pull off a victory from this situation.

Nelly Korda talks about her Tokyo Olympics experience

Nelly Korda won the gold medal in her first-ever Olympics at the 2021 Tokyo Summer Games. She represented Team USA with her sister, Jessica Korda, and had a great time.

During the pre-round press conference of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the World No.1 golfer elaborated on her Tokyo Olympics experience.

"Getting to share the Olympic experience, even though it was very unique with not getting to watch other sports and not having fans out here, at least get to go share that with my sister was such an amazing experience," Korda said.

The 26-year-old golfer then talked about the emotions she felt while standing on the podium after winning the gold medal at the Kasumigaseki Country Club.

"I didn't really know what emotions I was going to have until I stood on the stage. As a kid, I watched so many athletes and all their raw emotions on that podium when their flag goes up and the National Anthem. And when I finally got to do it myself, there was a massive rush of emotions that go through me. I had a couple of tears roll down my face," Korda said.
