Scottie Scheffler displayed an impressive performance and won the gold medal in the men's individual stroke play at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite a slow start on day one, the world no.1 golfer caught up with the leaders and picked up the pace at the right moment to card -9 for the final round and -19 for the event.

Scheffler started his final round at T6 and was four strokes behind the lead. He had a promising start in the fourth round with three consecutive birdies on the first three holes. This start got him in contention to win a medal at Le Golf National's Albatross golf course.

After the first three holes, Scottie Scheffler was unable to replicate the momentum as he carded three under after the first nine holes. But he remained bogey-free and made sure he didn't drop a shot.

The 28-year-old regained his scoring momentum as he carded six birdies on the back nine and remained bogey-free. His iron game and putting were on point, especially on the back nine, where most golfers struggled to score. The overnight leader, Jon Rahm, succumbed to pressure as he faltered in the final few holes, while Scheffler showcased an impressive temperament to win.

When will Scottie Scheffler play next?

After an impressive performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Scottie Scheffler and all the other golfers will head back to the United States as the PGA Tour resumes after a week's break due to the Paris Olympics.

The Wyndham Championship is all set to begin on Thursday, August 8th, the last event of the PGA Tour regular season. However, after winning the 2024 Paris Olympics, his chances of competing in the Wyndham Championship are minimal.

Scheffler is already the top-ranked golfer in the FedExCup playoffs and will probably take a break for a week before heading to the TPC Southwind for the FedExCup playoffs.
