It was enough to keep him in first place but not enough to prevent Hamish Brown from pulling level. The Dane had five birdies and one bogey (4 under) to climb two places to the top of the Mauritius Open leaderboard. This is just the third DP World Tour start for Brown, who will play the 2024 season on the Challenge Tour.A win at the Mauritius Open would reinstate Pepperell's full membership on the European Tour, which he lost due to his poor results in 2024. The Englishman told the DP World Tour News Service:"Truth be told, it has been a while since I have really been able to feel confident because there has been a lot of bad stuff in there at times. But that is the challenge for me to overcome this weekend and hopefully what I am working on will stand up, certainly it did today on a couple of tee shots coming in."The top-ranked golfer in the field, Antoine Rozner, had three birdies and three bogeys (even par) in the second round and missed the cut with a score of 2-over for 36 holes.
