Who is leading the 2024 Black Desert Championship after day 3? Leaderboard explored

The third round of the 2024 Black Desert Championship took place this Saturday, October 12th at the Black Desert Resort in Utah. The moving day produced some interesting movements on the leaderboard, including a new leader.

Matt McCarty climbed three spots on the leaderboard to take the lead at 19-under for the Black Desert Championship. Four players are two shots back, including yesterday's leader.

Matt McCarty had an eagle, seven birdies and two bogeys for a two-shot lead at the Black Desert Championship. McCarty made his debut as a PGA Tour member just a week ago at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

But the rookie has made a name for himself in recent weeks. He won three of the last eight events of the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season to earn his PGA Tour card as a member of the top 30.

Joe Highsmith had the best score of the third round at the Black Desert Championship, carding 10 birdies and one bogey for a 9-under 62. That moved him up 16 places on the leaderboard to T2.

Day one leader Stephan Jaeger carded four birdies and a bogey on Saturday to drop to second on 17-under. Meanwhile, day one leader Adam Svensson dropped eight places to T10 after carding three birdies, a bogey and a double bogey on Saturday.
