Who is leading the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship after Round 3: Leaderboard explored

The third round of the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship was played on Saturday, October 5 at the Country Club of Jackson, Mississippi. Moving Day brought plenty of changes to the leaderboard, including a new leader.

Keith Mitchell leads the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship on -20. Yesterday's leader Beau Hossler is now in second place, one shot off the lead.

Keith Mitchell scored the best third round of the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship to move up two places on the leaderboard. Mitchell carded seven birdies and no bogeys on Saturday to finish 7-under.

Mitchell had never made the cut at the Country Club of Jackson in his four previous starts. He is now the leader with 18 holes to play and could win his second PGA Tour title, more than five years after his first (2019 Honda Classic, now the Cognizant Classic).

Beau Hossler carded six birdies in the third round of the Sanderson Farms Championship, but a double bogey on the 12th hole cost him the tournament lead. Hossler is seeking his first PGA Tour victory in his 200th career start.

Both Mitchell and Hossler are threatening to equal or break the event's 24-under par record, held by Scott Stallings since he won in 2012. Also under threat is the total record of 263 set by Dan Halldorson in 1986, which Mitchell could equal with a 67 on Sunday.
