Morgane Metraux expressed her excitement to represent Switzerland at the Olympics
Morgane Metraux expressed her happiness at being selected for the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also stated how she was selected for the Tokyo Olympics but couldn’t participate because she was supposed to get her LPGA card at the same time.
“It's really cool to play in the Olympics and represent Switzerland…I qualified to go to Tokyo, but unfortunately, I had to turn the invitation down because of my chances of getting my LPGA card on Symetra (Tour) at the time. I was really happy that I was able to qualify again and actually be here this time,” Morgane Metraux said via Seminole.
She continued, “I'm really excited. We don't play for our country very much. I think in professional golf, the only really patriotic thing is the Solheim Cup, which I have not been a part of yet. It's really cool to be able to have this opportunity.”
The Olympics Women's Golf concludes on Saturday and it's to see if the Swiss golfer can win the gold medal.
