70 golfers will tee off for the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship. Following the 2024 Wyndham Championship, the official FedEx Cup rankings have been released, and the players who finished in the top 70 will compete in the St. Jude Championship this week.
The Wyndham Championship was scheduled to conclude on Sunday, August 11, and all players completed their rounds on Sunday, except Matt Kuchar, who opted to play the final hole of the fourth round on the next day. He finally completed the game, made par on the 18th on Monday, and secured the 103rd spot on the FedEx Cup rankings, missing the playoffs.
Aaron Rai won the 2024 Wyndham Championship, jumping up 28 positions on the FedEx Cup standings to 25th place. Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler tops the FedEx Cup rankings, followed by Xander Schauffele.
Victor Perez secured the 70th position on the rankings, jumping a spot after the Wyndham Championship and earning himself a place in the playoffs. Rory McIlroy secured the third spot, followed by Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark. Ludvig Aberg claimed the sixth spot, while Sahith Theegala is in seventh place. Max Greyserman made a significant jump on the FedEx Cup standings after his second-place finish at the Wyndham Championship to secure the 47th position.
The top 70 players on the FedEx Cup standings will compete in the St. Jude Championship, while the top 50 will advance to the BMW Championship, and the top 30 will play in the Tour Championship. The 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship will take place from August 15 to 18 at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.
