Nike Golf adds two more ambassadors to its portfolio

Nike Golf has revealed that they have added two more Chinese ambassadors to its already extensive portfolio of players.

China’s Hao-Tong Li and Xin-Jun Zhang are slated to represent Nike and will be wearing Nike gear and accessories such as clubs, balls, footwear, gloves, apparel, head wear throughout their multi-year deals.

Zhang, who is 26 years of age, made his professional debut in 2010, and came in 13th place finish in the 2011 Shanghai HSBC Championship. In 2007, he was part of the national squad that was selected to represent China for international tournaments. He has also won two gold medals and one silver in Chinese professional tournaments in 2011 and 2012.

The other Nike representative, Li, became a professional in 2011 at the age of 16. Prior to this, apart from winning nine gold medals and six silver medals in the Asian games, he was also named the Best Amateur Player in 2011. More recently, he competed in this year’s Australian PGA Championship and the New Zealand PGA Championship.

With regard to these two stars, Mark Thaxton, global director of sports marketing operations at Nike Golf said: “We are excited to welcome these two young and talented athletes to the Nike Golf family.”

“Hao-Tong and Xin-Jun are our first head-to-toe athletes in China and they will make great additions to our stable of athletes at a global level.”
