Bangalore, Sep 23 (IANS) A resurgent Smriti Mehra will look to win her third consecutive title in the 12th leg of the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour which gets underway at the Prestige Golfshire here Wednesday.
Smriti, third in the Order of Merit with three wins, coasted to comprehensive victories in the last two legs. But she will face a tough challenge from Vani Kapoor, leader of the Merit list with five wins this season.
This leg will also mark the comeback of the injured local girl Sharmila Nicollet, the only Indian golfer on the Ladies European Tour.
The Rs.4 lakh event will see 11 professional golfers fighting it out for top honours.
