Singapore, June 20 (IANS) South Korea's Jeunghun Wang on Monday aced another victory after being honoured as the Hilton Asian Tour golfer of the month for May.

In May, Jeunghun completed back-to-back victories with a come-from-behind one-shot triumph in the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, barely a week after he had broken through in Morocco.

Jeunghun pipped Bangladeshi Siddikur Rahman on the last hole with a birdie to win the tournament tri-sanctioned by the Asian Tour, European Tour and Sunshine Tour.

Those two victories also earned the 20-year-old a place in the record books as the youngest player to ever secure back-to-back triumphs in European golf history.

"I'm so happy that my achievements have been recognised by Hilton Worldwide and fans who have voted for me! It has been a great season so far and I can only look forward to more good things to come as the season goes on," Jeunghun said in a release.

Jeunghun Wang won the award ahead of compatriot K.T. Kim and Sweden's Rikard Karlberg where the trio were nominated by a selection panel before going into a voting process.
