The rift between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf is not slowing down anytime soon. We have seen lawsuits, players taking digs at each other, and fans fighting over social media.

The Twitter handle Flushing It sparked a new debate on whether both the circuits have bot accounts to take on each other and start arguments under comments irrespective of what the tweet is about.
Flushing It tweeted:
"Do you think there are PGA Tour or LIV bot accounts? The comments under almost every post seem be trying to start a LIV/PGAT argument, even if the tweet has nothing to do with it. It’s quite tiresome tbh and really weird."

"You can't possibly think that applies to only LIV posts. That's applies to basically every post at one time or another in the Twitter universe. Golf tweets are not an exception"

"There are likely some bots, but there are also some great fans that love golf and hope pga/liv can work together so we can just enjoy professional golf vs arguments"

"Agreed. Agreed. Agreed. I’ve seen too many with less than 30 followers after “supposedly” being on Twitter for 5-10 years. And there’s no profile pic 🤣."

"For me now, this space is polluted by LIV bots but in fairness, the initial reaction from #golftwitter and golf journos was so tiresome, in their vitriol. They created it, in the end"

"PGA has a huge fan base but it also has its super fans (volunteers) and employees. They’re no doubt upset that the status quo may be changing and i suspect they’re making it a point to troll."

"Accounts on both sides of the aisle have gone wild in the last week or so. Not even really a discussion anymore, just a shouting match. Without a doubt, some of the hardcore accounts are very suspicious"

"There are 100% some terrible accounts on both sides, whether that be trolling, seeking nothing but hate, or just yelling to be heard. Still not convinced there's actual 'bots' but the behavior of these people is incredibly strange / concerning."

"Almost every response I get is from a bot that is negative on LIV"

"My favorite Stan account is the one that called Pat Perez a top 10 golfer. I mean he topped out at 19 in 2017"

"HankHaney said it best; no reason why people can’t enjoy both pga tour and LIV? Way too much vitriol"
Ad
"It’s so annoying. Wish both sides would just stop commenting about the other side haha. Just let people enjoy what they want to enjoy. No one on Twitter is going to tell someone what they should do and have that person listen"
Ad
"I’m very pro liv but sick of the constant berating from both sides"
Ad
"I’m not a bot and I’m 100% not a fan of LIV. I just usually don’t go out of my way to say so. The less clicks they get the faster the ship will sink"
Ad
"the 24/7 bashing these LIV guys have gotten from the pgat and it's fanboys has turned me into a bot against anything pga tour related"
