Lydia Ko bagged the gold medal at the women's golf event at the 2024 Paris Olympics with a final round score of one under par. The LPGA Tour star posted a ten under par total to defeat Germany's Esther Henseleit and China's Xiyu Janet Lin, who secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

The challenging Le Golf National Course saw Ko put on an incredible show that left fans worldwide in awe. While standing on the podium, she was overcome with emotion, shedding tears of joy as the New Zealand national anthem played.

Not only did Ko earn New Zealand a gold medal, but she also went on to accomplish two more feats. Having previously clinched a silver medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2020 edition of the games in Tokyo, she has completed the rare trifecta.
