The ball only travelled about 71 yards, which includes the tumble down a hill to the extreme right of the hole.During the final round of the 2024 TOUR Championship, Scottie Scheffler shanked his shot from the greenside bunker on the eighth hole. Although he went on to win the event, the World No. 1 golfer's ball almost landed up in the bunker to the front of the green. It came to rest on the fairway.Thomas Detry executed a disastrous shot at the American Express early this year. Faced with a chip off the green near the rocks, he struck it.
