Tiger Woods, who is widely thought to be the best golfer in history, hasn't been able to play regularly since facing a terrible car accident in February 2021. Even so, the 15-time winner of a major championship plans to play in the Masters tournament at Augusta National in 2023. Everyone is curious to find out who Woods will have caddying for him during this illustrious match.

Background

Joe LaCava has been with Tiger Woods since 2011. Before that, he worked as his caddie. He has helped him win a number of important tournaments, including the Masters in 2019.

In a recent interview with Golf.com, LaCava said that he hadn't spoken to Tiger since the accident and didn't know if he would be Woods' caddie at the Masters Tournament in 2023. LaCava's comments were made in reference to the fact that he had not communicated with Tiger since his injury.

According to LaCava, during the time that Woods was away competing in international competition, he worked with a number of other sportsmen like Dustin Johnson and Fred Couples. But he has not changed his allegiance to Woods and would gladly work as a caddie for him if given the chance.

LaCava's Future with Tiger Woods

Notwithstanding the unpredictability of Tiger Woods's comeback, LaCava has indicated that he would consider it a pleasure to serve as Woods' caddie at the Masters tournament in 2023. He praised Woods for his dedication and endurance while playing the course, and expressed his faith that Woods would play his best in the competition by giving it his all in preparation.

LaCava also mentioned that during their lengthy time spent working together, he picked up a lot of useful information from Woods. He referred to Woods as "a brilliant golfer and a great guy" and expressed his appreciation for the chance to act as Woods' caddy.

Nobody is sure who Tiger Woods will have as his caddie at the 2023 Masters Tournament. For the past 10 years, Joe LaCava has been Tiger Woods' caddy on the golf course. He has said that he would like to apply for more jobs, but it is not clear if Woods would choose him at this time.

It is clear that Woods is putting in a lot of effort to be ready for his comeback. It's possible that he will be in the running for the green jacket for the sixth time, if he plays to the best of his abilities.
