It also helps the liver in flushing out any toxins which were consumed. Thus it aids digestion, increases the metabolic rate and cleanses the body of any toxins. Apart from this, it also is an effective Vitamin C agent and fights against a cough or a cold, along with increasing immunity. It has multiple benefits apart from working towards getting you that flat stomach.

This is one of the best exercises towards working at getting a flat stomach and this is mainly for two reasons. The first is that it is so effective and really strengthens your stomach muscles and secondly, it can literally be done anywhere. When you are sitting on your desk in the office, on a bus, in a classroom, literally anywhere.

You should generally be sitting while doing this exercise. You take your stomach in and deliberately breathe in with force and as you take your stomach out you exhale out, forcefully. Do close to 500 kapalbhati pranayams and keep increasing it as you get more and more comfortable.

This exercise not only strengthens your stomach muscles but it also improves your metabolic rate. Other benefits include an increase in concentration levels, getting rid of acidity, improvement in digestive system etc. Thus, this exercise is multi-beneficiary and while strengthening and toning your core, it also takes care of your physical and mental well- being.

#3 Drink Water Before Each Meal

This tip is to basically ensure that one does not overeat. At times, we tend to mistakenly think that we are hungry or more hungry than we actually are. It happens mainly because we are dehydrated or there isn't enough water in our body.

By drinking water before each meal we ensure that we are eating because we are actually hungry. It also fills our stomach to avoid over-eating even if we want to. By doing so, we can ensure that our diet is in control.

Drinking water is also beneficial to as it excretes toxins in our body and is a great remedy for spotless and healthy skin.

#4 Planks

Planks are the best go-to exercise for a flat and toned stomach. The exercise consists of quite a good number of variations that work out different parts of the abdomen. A plank can also be done literally anywhere and by anybody.

The most basic plank is the one where your body is parallel to the floor and you are being held up/supported because of your elbows. Tighten your core and make sure it does not go up. This exercise greatly works out the abdominal area.
