Former hockey champion Balbir Singh Kullar passes away
Was part of Olympic team
He became part of the Indian team in 1963 at Lyon in France
In 1966 he was part of the gold medal winning team at the Asian Games, Bangkok
Honoured with Padma Shri and Arjuna Award
Became an ASI with Punjab Police in 1963
Retired from Punjab Police as DIG in 2001
Hockey India saddened by his demise
