Noel Meade is considering letting both Monksland and Wounded Warrior run in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on November 26.

Monksland was a faller in the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal on Saturday, while Wounded Warrior has been prevented from running this season due to the prevailing quick ground, but did finish third in the RSA Chase to Don Poli in 2015

"Monksland has come out of the weekend unscathed and there is every possibility he could go for the Hennessy Gold Cup," said the Tu Va handler.

"He is rated 3lb higher in England and I think the weight (10st 7lb) is fine, but whether he runs or not will depend on how he schools in the meantime.

"He looked to be going quite nicely at Down Royal when he came down, but the fences are there to be jumped and that has been his Achilles heel.

"Wounded Warrior would certainly be a possible as well off 10st 9lb. He is a fine, big horse who stays really well."

Coneygree heads the weights, although the 2015 Gold Cup winner is more likely to run in the Betfair Chase at Haydock a week earlier.

Silviniaco Conti (11st 10lb), last year's winner Smad Place (11st 8lb) and Charlie Hall winner Irish Cavalier (11st 2lb) are also towards the top of the weights.Colin Tizzard's Native River is ante-post favourite and has been allotted 10st 11lb.

Un Temps Pour Tout, a winner over hurdles last weekend is on 11st, RSA winner Blaklion and Carlisle scorer Seeyouatmidnight have been given 10st 10lb and Saphir Du Rheu is on 10st 9lb.
