AIFF Seminar in Bangalore focuses on Referees development

I-League Chairman and Karnataka State Football Association President A.R. Khaleel inaugurated a brief Referee’s Seminar in Bangalore on Saturday, January 11.

Head of Referees, All India Football Federation (Retd) Col. Goutam Kar, spoke on ‘Polices and Practices’ adopted by FIFA/AIFF for the Development of Referees and improvement of the standard of Referees in India.

Kar alongwith E. Krishnanarayana, General Secretary of KSFA, M.P.Swamy, Chairman, and KSFA and BDFA officials attended the inaugural function.

The AIFF Head of Referees focused on Grassroots Referees, Women Referees, classification, training, assessment and grading of Referees. He also stressed on the fitness aspect of Referees.

Inayathulla Khan, Member AIFF Referees Committee, M.S. Kirshanmurthy, Chairman Referees Committee of Karnataka, and M.R. Ranganath, Head of Referees Department of Karnataka were present during the course of the Seminar.

Besides, referees of other districts, former referees and footballers of Karnataka also attended the Seminar.
