Chanmari FC Under-17

Chanmari FC were crowned the champions of inaugural Under-17 Mizoram Premier League when they defeated Dinthar FC 3-1 in a fiercely contested final which was played yesterday, May 2 at Lammual in Aizawl. The favourites Chanmari FC opened the scoring on the 41st minute through Jerry Mawihmingthanga, when he easily tapped in a corner. However, Dinthar FC equalised a couple of minutes later against the run of play when the diminutive striker Malsawma out-jumped the taller defenders to head home the equaliser. Chanmari FC came back strongly and regained the lead only a minute later as Jerry once more scored from a counter-attack. It was Chanmari who scored again on the 59th minute through V. Lalrinfela after a mistake by the rival goalkeeper handed him an easy chance.
