The Indian national football team dropped one place to 167 in the FIFA Rankings after the latest release on Thursday.

India’s only match last month was the 2-4 defeat to Palestine, who also dropped one spot to 153, in an international friendly in Kochi. In Asia, India continues to occupy the 31st place.

Next month, India are scheduled to play three matches in the AFC Challenge Cup 2014 qualifiers and national head coach Wim Koevermans will be hoping to qualify by winning the group.

India have been drawn in Group A of the qualifiers alongside hosts Myanmar (164), Chinese Taipei (171) and Guam (183).

India faces Chinese Taipei first on March 2 followed by a clash against Guam on March 4 with Myanmar being the opponents in their final qualifier on March 6.

The next release of the FIFA Rankings is scheduled for March 14.
