A high octane fixture came to an end at the Fatorda Stadium as Ranko Popovic's side clinched a crucial away victory. FC Pune City beat FC Goa 2-0 with second-half goals from Emiliano Alfaro and Jonatan Lucca.

Incidentally, this was the first time that FC Goa have failed to score a goal in a match in ISL 2017.

FC Pune City

Vishal Kaith: 8.5/10

The Pune goalie made some crucial saves denying Brandon Fernandes and Lanzarote in the first half. A top performance from him helped Pune keep a clean sheet.

Sarthak Golui: 7.5/10

A solid shift from the defender; he put in crucial blocks and created the third highest number of chances (3).

Rafa: 6.5/10

An ordinary game for the centre back, Rafa wasn't as good as fellow defenders but did his job. A key interception denying Lanzarote in the first half was his only major contribution in what was a relatively quiet game for the number 4.

Gurtej Singh: 7.5/10

The centre-back had an above average game. Singh made 9 recoveries in the whole game, the second highest amongst all the player. He also made 2 crucial interceptions which helped Pune City to a memorable away win.

L Fanai: 7/10

The defender had an average game. He wasn't very influential for the winning team but made 3 successful tackles during the course of the game.

A Kuruniyan: 6/10

A relatively poor game for the number 22. Ashique Kuruniyan did not create the chances he was expected to create. His passing percentage too was fairly low as compared to other players. He was substituted in the last 10 minutes.

Adil Khan: 9/10 (MOTM)

The midfielder put in a man of the match performance. Khan made 4 tackles in the game, 3 of which were successful. He was rock solid defensively and offensively, making 3 aerial duels, highest amongst all players.

Marcos Tebar: 8/10

The midfielder had a solid game, the number 6 had the highest passing percentage in the game. He made 44 successful passes out of 50 and bossed the midfield. Tebar had the highest pass percentage amongst all players.

Diego 7/10

The number 20 had a relatively quiet game as compared to fellow midfielders Tebar and Khan. Diego mainly played a supporting role to Adil Khan and did not create plenty of chances himself. However, he was defensively solid whenever called upon.

Emiliano Alfaro: 9/10

Alfaro broke the deadlock in 71st minute putting FC Pune City ahead by one goal. Alfaro missed an easy sitter in the first half but compensated in the second half; he also assisted Jonatan Lucca's goal which sealed the game.

Marcelinho: 8/10

The number 10 helped his team get the first goal; Marcelinho assisted the first goal scored by Alfaro and created plenty of chances in the first half too. He created 5 chances in the game, the highest amongst all the player.

Substitutes:

Jonatan Lucca: 8/10

Lucca was brought on for Diego in the 71st minute and marked himself on the scoresheet 13 minutes later. Instant impact off the bench, Lucca's goal sealed the win for Ranko Popovic's men.

L Kattimani: 7/10

The Goa goalie put in an impressive performance in the first half making 2 crucial saves. He made 2 more saves in the second half but was caught off guard as FC Pune City scored 2 goals in the second half.

Serinton Fernandes: 7/10

Fernandes was one of the better defenders for Goa. He made 6 tackles, the highest amongst all players, of which 4 were successful.

Bruno Pinheiro: 5.5/10

A lacklustre shift from the number 16, Pinheiro was one of the centre-backs in the 4-2-3-1 line up for FC Goa. Bruno did not contribute offensively for Goa and was clumsy in defence too.

Mohamed Ali: 6.5/10

The second centre-back performed relatively well as compared to Bruno. Although he had a quiet game, he made a crucial interception in the second half which prevented FC Pune City from going 1-0 before Alfaro opened the scoring for the away team.

N Das: 6/10

Like his fellow defenders, Das had a quiet game and couldn't prevent Alfaro and Co. from scoring twice. Das, like Bruno, was often caught off guard and could have put in a better performance.

A Jahouh: 8/10

Jahouh was one of the better players for FC Goa. He created a couple of chances in the first half for Brandon Fernandes and Lanzarote, but they were unable to put the ball at the back of the net. Jahouh also saw a yellow card in the first half of the match.

Edu Bedia 8/10

Like Jahou, Edu Bedia too had a solid game. Bedia attempted 90 passes in the game, of which 79 were successful. He also had a 73% passing accuracy in the final third which is highest amongst all the players.

M Desai: 6.5/10

Unlike Fernandes and Lanzarote, Desai had a relatively quiet game. He only created a couple chances in the first half and did not provide the impetus needed up front.

Lanzarote: 7.5/10

The number 12 started the game on a high, creating a flurry of chances early on. He put the Pune defenders under pressure and attempted 4 take-ons, 2 of which were successful.

Brandon Fernandes: 7.5/10

Like Lanzarote, Fernandes looked lively in the first half early on and looked set to put himself on the scoresheet. A lack of control in the final third combined with some amazing goalkeeping from Kaith meant that he could not score or assist for FC Goa.

F Corominas: 6/10

The striker had a very quiet game, a poor passing percentage in the final third and lack of composure, Coro's contribution offensively was close to zero today.

Substitutes:

Arana: 6.5/10

The Spanish midfielder was brought on for Jahouh in the 54th minute. He could not perform the task his manager sent him to do. Like his teammates he was quiet and was booked for a reckless challenge in the 83rd minute.

Adrian Colunga: 5/10

Colunga was brought on for Lanzarote in the 76th minute but could not influence the game. His presence did not intimidate FC Pune City defenders at all and they defended any chances created by Colunga with ease.
