Chennaiyin FC forward Rahim Ali had a sub-par Indian Super League (ISL) campaign in 2023-24. His contract with the Marina Machans ended on May 31, and the 24-year-old is exploring new options ahead of the upcoming season.

Ali plays as an out-and-out No. 9 and also featured in India's 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers game against Kuwait on Thursday, June 6. As per sources tracking Rahim Ali's transfer activities, the player is currently in talks with three ISL clubs, including Chennaiyin FC.

"Rahim Ali had been offered a contract extension by Chennaiyin FC in January itself, but he is currently exploring new opportunities. He has been in touch with two other ISL outfits, who are eager to secure his signature," the source revealed to Sportskeeda.

The source further stated that Punjab FC and Odisha FC are also in touch with Ali over a potential move.

"Speaking of the clubs, Punjab FC and Odisha FC are in contact with Ali. Punjab FC had placed their offer on the table around four to five months back but the player is yet to agree. Odisha FC are keen on securing his signature but their offer too, hasn't satisfied the young forward," the source added.

Ali won't probably won't decide on his future anytime soon. The transfer window is a long enough period to give him more options.
