South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) and All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is all set to organize the 2nd edition of the SAFF U16 Boys Football Championship from July 20 to July 30 2013 at Dasarath Stadium, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Eight teams from the region are taking part, divided into two groups of four teams. Pakistan are the Defending Champions of the SAFF U16 Championship. Participating nations will be divided into two groups with two teams from each group entering the semifinals of the championship.

Among the eight members of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), only seven countries will compete in the U-16 SAFF Championship. ANFA has confirmed that Maldives has pulled of the championship and no reason is disclosed for their withdrawal from the championship.
