Chip Ganassi Racing driver Alex Palou congratulated Carlos Alcaraz for his recent triumph at the French Open. The Spaniard won the tournament after beating World No.1 Jannik Sinner in a match that lasted for 5 hours and 29 minutes.
On Monday, June 9, Palou reshared a post uploaded by the tennis player Carlos Alcaraz celebrating his victory at the recently held Roland Garros Final Men's Singles. The Spanish driver captioned the story with:
"Vaya Bestia 🙌"

Alex Palou himself has been having a spectacular season in IndyCar. The 28-year-old Spaniard has won five of the seven races held so far. At the recently held Detroit Grand Prix, he could not complete the race as he was struck by A.J.Foyt Racing driver David Malukas at Turn 1. Speaking about the same, the three-time Series champion expressed his disappointment. Here's what he said (via IndyCar.com)
"It doesn’t feel great, but there’s nothing we could have done there. It’s very unfortunate. We did an amazing recovery this weekend (as) we didn’t really have much pace at the beginning (of the weekend). I thought we were running good to try to sneak onto the podium (as a top-three finisher) there at the end.”
Alex Palou is currently chasing his fourth title and has a comfortable lead of 90 points between him and Pato O'Ward in second place.
Alex Palou speaks about his desire to stay with IndyCar instead of moving to a 'total opposite' sport
Chip Ganassi Racing driver Alex Palou recently opened up about his desire to stay with IndyCar. He has often been rumored to join Formula One with the Cadillac F1 team and is one of the top contenders for the same. However, the car #10 driver has put these rumors to rest.
While speaking to Fox Sports, the Spanish driver spoke about why he does not want to leave the sport even if it is for two years and that he wants to focus on getting his second Indianapolis 500 title. He said:
"I don’t want to leave now. Even if they say, ‘No, don’t worry, you can come back in one or two years, what if suddenly everyone is here and I’m never able to catch back up to them? And it wasn’t in my mind last year, and it’s not in my mind this year. It’s getting less and less and less every day, and with this, it’s like, ‘No, I want to get another (Indy 500 victory).’" (via Fox Sports)
He further added how Formula One is the total opposite of IndyCar, as the drivers do not get to celebrate with their families nor spend time with their mechanics in the motorhomes.
"I don’t see people celebrating with their wives and their kids as much as we do. I don’t see them hanging in the bus lot or having dinner with their mechanics. I only enjoy driving and having fun and being with my people, so I think (F1) is the total opposite."
Alex Palou is currently focused on getting his fourth championship title.
