Chip Ganassi Racing driver Alex Palou recently shared an Instagram story with his followers. He uploaded a picture of his team, Palou Motorsport's driver James Egozi.

James Egozi drives the #48 Palou Motorsport car. The former Redbull Junior driver joined the three-time series champions' team this year to compete in the Eurocup-3. The 17-year-old recently won the Eurocup's 3 Algarve, where he started the race, which was held in reverse grid, on the front row.

On June 8, Sunday Palou posted a picture of Egozi to congratulate him on his victory. He captioned the picture with:

Palou Motorsport was founded in January 2023 by the three-time series champion and his father, Ramon Palou, with its base in Barcelona. The team had a successful debut season at the Eurocup in 2023, as they secured three podium finishes and finished in third place in the rookie Championship.

As for the founder of the team, Alex Palou, he has had a spectacular start to the season. He has dominated the IndyCar series, winning five of the seven races so far.

During the recently held Detroit Grand Prix on June 1, Palou did not finish the race as he was forced to retire after a collision with David Malukas at Turn 1. However, he is still leading the driver's championship with a 90-point gap between him and Pato O'Ward in second place.

Alex Palou speaks about staying with IndyCar

The three-time series champion Alex Palou recently spoke about his aspiration to stay with IndyCar. He has often been linked with the Cadillac Formula One team as one of the contenders for the seat. However, the Spaniard has quashed the rumors.

While speaking to Fox Sports, the 28-year-old driver spoke about why he does not want to leave the sport and how he is focused on getting his second Indianapolis 500 win. Here's what he said,

"I don’t want to leave now. Even if they say, ‘No, don’t worry, you can come back in one or two years, what if suddenly everyone is here and I’m never able to catch back up to them? And it wasn’t in my mind last year, and it’s not in my mind this year. It’s getting less and less and less every day, and with this, it’s like, ‘No, I want to get another (Indy 500 victory).’" (via Fox Sports)

Alex Palou is currently focused on winning his fourth IndyCar Series championship.
