The Arrow McLaren team reportedly will continue with the same driver lineup for the 2026 season. The team currently has three full-time cars on the grid.
On June 14, Brown put out a tweet via his X account stating that the Arrow McLaren driver lineup was allegedly confirmed by a spokesperson on the team. He wrote.
NEWS: @ArrowMcLaren will return its identical 3 full-time @IndyCardriver lineup for 2026, per a team spokesperson. 1st-year full-season driver @nolan_siegel gets a 2nd full year to work with what’s been an almost entirely new group on the No. 6 this year.
The papaya team has had three cars with Pato O'Ward piloting the #5 car, Nolan Siegel in the #6 car, and Christian Lundgaard in the #7 car and will continue to do so for the 2026 season. O'Ward will be entering his seventh season with the Indianapolis-based team during the upcoming season. His teammate Christian Lundgaard and Nolan Siegel will be starting their second full season with the papaya outfit.
So far, the Arrow McLaren team has had a decent start to their 2025 campaign. The team currently has two of their three drivers in the top 5 for the drivers' championship, with Pato O'Ward sitting in 2nd place and Christian Lundgaard sitting in 4th place.
Arrow McLaren driver Christian Lundgaard speaks about challenging Alex Palou
The #10 Chip Ganassi Racing driver, Alex Palou, has been dominating the season so far and has been outperforming all of the efforts made by his rivals to stop him. The Spanish driver has won five out of the seven races so far this season. His last race at the Detroit Grand Prix ended after being struck by David Malukas, but the three-time IndyCar champion still has a 90-point lead as he marches towards his fourth title.
Christian Lundgaard, who drives the #7 Arrow McLaren car powered by Chevrolet, recently appeared on the podcast Speed Freaks and was questioned about what it will take to stop the Spaniard from dominating the season. Lundgaard spoke about how it felt like it was the #10 car against the Chevrolet cars. He replied by saying,
"I think the Chevy cars have been a lot stronger than what the results really show. I definitely think that the Chevy car should have won the 500 this year. Obviously, we're all in this situation of Why does this guy keep winning, right? And how do they do it? At the end of the day, you gotta give them kudos. They're doing an incredible job on that 10 car," he said (0:17 onwards).
"But I think that again proves the point that, you know, the 5 car, the 7 car, and a bunch of other Chevys have been really fast throughout the season, and we've been right there, but every single time, it's the 10 car beating all of us, right? So it kind of feels like sometimes it's Chevy VS just the 10 car. And that's what messed up about the whole situation is, you know, I just feel like it's become everybody against the 10 car," he added.
The Arrow McLaren driver has previously gone wheel-to-wheel with the championship leader at the Thermal Club Grand Prix, where Palou eventually took victory.
