Bobby Rahal, co-owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, shared his thoughts as rookie driver Louis Foster secured a new sponsorship deal. Foster has teamed up with Droplight, a venture studio that will bring its marketing expertise to support the team’s three-car lineup. The partnership marks a promising step forward for both Foster and the RLL Racing organization.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing announced on June 10 that Droplight will become the main sponsor of the #45 Honda, driven by rookie Louis Foster, for the remainder of the season. Bobby Rahal expressed his excitement about onboarding a new partner.
“We’re excited to welcome Droplight into the RLL family,” said Bobby Rahal, co-owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing with David Letterman and Mike Lanigan.
“Their team brings a rare combination of energy, vision and execution that aligns perfectly with where we want to take this program. This isn’t just a sponsorship – it’s a platform for growth,” he added
Droplight brings a diverse portfolio of investments and alliances spanning the entertainment, tech, media, and consumer sectors. Throughout the remainder of the 2025 season, fans can expect the launch of fresh marketing campaigns, media initiatives, and strategic partnerships designed to elevate visibility and engagement.
Known for its daring approach to branding and innovation, Droplight operates as a high-performance venture studio focused on accelerating market impact. As part of its collaboration with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Droplight will play a key role in shaping the team’s marketing efforts, brand identity, and digital presence, creating a more dynamic and fan-forward experience across platforms.
In line with this new partnership, the No. 45 Honda will undergo a striking transformation. Replacing its traditional black-and-red Mi-Jack livery, which has been seen all season apart from the Indianapolis 500, the car will now feature a vibrant green design as its new primary look.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has established itself as a prominent force in the IndyCar Series, steadily expanding its presence over the years. As part of that growth, co-owner Bobby Rahal has previously reflected on the challenges and opportunities that come with scaling the organization.
Back in 2022, the team introduced a third entry to its IndyCar lineup and broke ground on a cutting-edge headquarter. At the same time, it was selected as BMW’s official partner for its LMDh sports car program. Speaking on the team’s evolution, Rahal shared insights into the complexities of managing such significant growth.
"You tie all those things together and you just have to feel very positive towards what the future will look like for RLL. Now, having said that, we’ve got to go out and realise all the potential that’s there, and that’s, of course, the big challenge." (via The Race)
Rahal captured three championships and secured 24 victories in the CART open-wheel series, highlighted by a win at the 1986 Indianapolis 500.
