HMD Motorsports' Indy NXT driver, Hailie Deegan, released a new update via her Instagram Story only days after her frustrating outing at the streets of Detroit. Deegan gave her fans a glimpse of her sauna session.
The 2025 Indy NXT Detroit Grand Prix proved to be a particularly tumultuous event, characterized by numerous incidents on the narrow and demanding street circuit. Several drivers made contact with the barriers throughout the race, underscoring the challenging nature of the course.
Hailie Deegan described the showdown marred by incidents as "frustrating" in her post-race comments. She completed the 45-lap event just behind Nolan Allaer, Liam Sceats, and James Roe, who secured 13th, 14th, and 15th place finishes, respectively.
Moving on from the disappointments, she has been back to training to prepare for the upcoming race. On June 7th, she gave an update on her post-workout regimen. She posted a picture of her legs wearing workout pants and socks with a sipper in the frame.
"Sauna Sesh," she captioned the story

When Hailie Deegan expressed her excitement for the Indy NXT opportunity with HMD Motorsports

Hailie Deegan is one of the most recognized female drivers in American motorsports. Her racing career includes appearances in the ARCA Menards Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
In October 2024, Deegan ended her tenure with AM Racing. She has since shifted her focus to open-wheel competition by entering Indy NXT, a developmental series under the IndyCar umbrella aimed at grooming talent for the premier IndyCar level.
Following five years in NASCAR from 2019 to 2024, Deegan is now embarking on a new phase of her racing journey in the world of open-wheel racing. Looking back on the opportunity, Deegan expressed her excitement and acknowledged that she still had much to learn.
“I am excited about the opportunity and look forward to working with a proven program in HMD Motorsports. I have much to learn, but I am ready to go. The team brings a wealth of knowledge for me to pull from, and I look forward to soaking up as much of that as possible before my race debut next March in St. Petersburg." Deegan said via Indy NXT.
Monster Energy remains a key partner in Deegan’s transition to open-wheel racing, continuing its long-standing support as she begins her Indy NXT journey. The brand that previously sponsored her throughout her NASCAR career has stayed on board as she takes on this new challenge. Up next, Deegan, amongst the 25-car grid of Indy NXT, will take to the World Wide Technology Raceway on June 15th.
