Former IndyCar driver and team owner Michael Andretti is the second generation of racing drivers from the Andretti family. Michael is the son of F1 and IndyCar champion Mario Andretti and a feather of Marco Andretti. The American driver invested in Green Racing and went on to become the sole owner of the team, naming the team Andretti Autosport (now Andretti Global).

Michael Andretti's marriage to Sandra "Sandy" Spinozzi and their two kids, Marco and Marissa

Michael Andretti made his IndyCar debut in 1983 and married his now ex-wife Sandra just a couple of years later. The former IndyCar driver and Sandra Spinozzi got married in November 1985.

Michael and Sandra have two kids, Marco and Marissa. Marco Andretti was born on March 13, 1987, and his daughter Marissa was born three years later on October 31, 1990. Marco continued in his father and grandfather's footsteps and became an American open-wheel racing series driver.

Marco is a semi-retired driver who still races in the Indy 500 for his father's team. Marco Andretti is engaged to Billie Jo Powers and they welcomed their daughter Miura into the world last year.

Marissa Andretti is also involved in motorsports and serves as the Vice President of Andretti Global. As per Andrettiglobal.com, Marissa is also an active member of “Women in Motorsports North America working groups, the Indianapolis Airport Authority Advisory Committee, the Sports Tech HQ Advisory Board, and is an Honorary Chair with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.”

Michael Andretti’s second marriage to Leslie Wood and their son Lucca

Just a year after parting ways with his first wife, Sandra, Michael Andretti married Leslie Wood, his second wife. The two got married on December 24, 1997. Just a couple of years after the marriage, the couple welcomed their son Lucca on September 16, 1999.

Michael and Leslie separated in 2003 and filed for divorce a year later on September 7, 2004.

Michael Andretti’s third marriage to Jodi Ann Peterson and their twins, Mario and Miati

A couple of years after filing for divorce from Leslie, Michael Andretti married Playboy model Jodi Ann Peterson. The couple got married at the Andretti Winery in Napa Valley, California, on October 7, 2006.

The couple were blessed with twins after over seven years of their marriage. Jodi Ann gave birth to twins Mario and Miati on February 13, 2014. Michael and Jodi have been married for almost two decades and currently reside in Fishers, Indiana.

Michael stepped down from his leadership role at Andretti Global after the 2024 IndyCar season, with Dan Towriss taking over the lead. Michael is currently enjoying retirement and was spotted at this year's St. Pete GP and Indy 500.
