They shared the news through a joint post on Instagram that featured their two daughters, Harlan and Tinley, along with a photo of the ultrasound scan of the unborn child and a message hinting at their growing family. In the caption, the Rahals wrote:

"Surprise! Baby Rahal #3 coming this fall! 🍁 We can’t wait to complete our family! 🤍"

The announcement has since been met with an outpouring of love and congratulatory messages from fans, fellow racers, and several personalities across the motorsports scene. Graham Rahal and his wife Courtney have been married since 2015 and are already parents to two daughters.

Coincidentally, both come from families with rich racing histories and are accomplished racers themselves. Rahal is the son of 1986 Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal, while his wife Courtney, is the daughter of 16-time National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) champion John Force.

While Graham Rahal currently competes in IndyCar with the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team, Courtney stepped away from her drag racing career in 2019 to focus on family life and support her husband's racing career.

The former drag racing star, who was present at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, shared a family photo on her Instagram before accompanying it with the caption:

“Another Indy 500 in the books! Proud of this guy on another tough month. But he pushed through, never gave up and worked through the challenges. What a month for him and his @united.rentals team. Proud of all your hard work and dedication and can’t wait to get to the next one in Detroit! 🏁”

The Indy 500 proved to be a torrid race for Graham Rahal, as he narrowly secured the final automatic qualification spot — 30th — to partake in the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. The six-time IndyCar race winner, who was previously bumped from the race during the 2023 edition, found little redemption this time around, as he largely ran a quiet race, finishing 17th and a lap down on eventual race winner Alex Palou.

Rahal is yet to taste victory at the event in his 17 attempts at the Brickyard. His best showings at the iconic venue remain the second-place finishes he achieved in 2011 and 2020. The 36-year-old, who also has not won a race in the IndyCar Series since the 2017 Grand Prix of Detroit, will now shift his focus to the upcoming Bommarito Automotive Group 500 in Illinois, with the hope to clinch a win.
