Kerala-based martial artist breaks pushup world record

KJ Joseph

Karate and Kalari master KJ Joseph got himself into the Guinness Book of World Records after setting a new world record for the maximum number of knuckle push-ups in 60 seconds.

Joseph did an astounding 82 pushups in 60 seconds, that comes up to roughly 1.3 pushups every second, thereby beating Ron Cooper of United States’s record of 79 that he achieved in 2015.

You may think that after getting your name on the record books, one would hope to take it easy, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Joseph has already set a target in his mind and intends to do 90 push-ups in one minute, thereby better his own record.

Prior to entering the Guinness Book of records, Joseph had already etched his name in the Universal Record Forum with an effort of 2092 push-ups in an hour. He also holds the record for breaking iron bars with bare hands.

If you thought that he attains the strength to perform such amazing feats by spending hours in the gym, then Joseph confesses that wasn't the case and he hasn't worked out even once to raise his strength
