Match summary:
Lyca Kovai Kings win by 6 wickets with 10 balls to spare
S Sujay 72*(59) | Manimaran Siddharth 3/13 (4) V Ganga Sridhar Raju 58(55) | Daryl Sunder Ferrario 2/17 (4)
It took them a touch too long to get there, but Lyca Kovai Kings move to 2nd in the points table courtesy of a 6-wicket win against Ba11sy Trichy! Trichy are winless 3 games into the tournament, and they have their own approach to blame. Their body language never looked too promising either going into the 2nd innings. That being said, their spinners did a fairly decent job in tying down the runs, but Lyca Kovai Kings were always going to get there.
Jayaraman Suresh Kumar and S Sujay took their own, sweet time to get going early on. They found the deliveries to attack, and they made the most of them. Jayaraman, having got off to a start, threw his wicket away with a terrible shot. Sai Sudharsan failed to get going today, and having picked up three wickets by the 9th over, Ba11sy Trichy would have felt that they were in with a glimmer.
Mukilesh, despite not scoring too many, ended up providing good support to Sujay, as the duo looked to keep the score ticking. The game gradually drifted away from Trichy even as Mukilesh departed. Trichy, to their credit, managed to keep the equation to around a run-a-ball until the 18th over. That was when Sujay decided to cut loose. 15 came off the over from Rajkumar, and it was a matter of formalities after that.
18.2 R Silambarasan to Atheeq Ur Rahman, FOUR! That's game set and match for the Lyca Kovai Kings. Banged in short by Silambarasan, Atheeq rocks back and pulls it away right in the gap towards the midwicket region.
18.1 R Silambarasan to Atheeq Ur Rahman, banged in short by Silambarasan, angling across the left-hander, Rahman sways away from that and lets that go through to the keeper.
Ah well! There's the over that Lyca Kovai Kings were after! Sujay had finally decided to get it done with some time to spare!

17.6 Akshay Srinivasan to S Sujay, FOUR! That was bowled full and wide outside off, Sujay comes down the track and carves it away over the backward point fielder and off to the fence. Just 3 more needed now.
17.5 Akshay Srinivasan to S Sujay, SIX! That was a slower delivery on a length a shade outside off. Sujay picked the slower delivery early and deposits that straight back over the bwler's head for a maximum.
17.4 Akshay Srinivasan to S Sujay, FOUR! That was a short of a length delivery from Srinivasan. Sujay rocks back quickly and pulls it away down towards the deep square leg reion, a good effort by Jafar Jamal but in the gap and off to the fence.
17.3 Akshay Srinivasan to Atheeq Ur Rahman, slower delivery on the surface and that has been pulled away towards the deep midwicket region for a single.
17.2 Akshay Srinivasan to Atheeq Ur Rahman, another dot ball. On a length around middle, Rahman comes down the track and slaps this straight back to the bowler.
17.1 R Rajkumar to Atheeq Ur Rahman, a dot ball to start the over.
Still a run-a-ball needed. There has been a hint of complacency from the Lyca Kovai Kings batters, S Sujay in particular. He has been out there right from the start, has had a feel of the wicket, there's no reason why he shouldn't end it soon!

16.5 Akshay Srinivasan to S Sujay, that has been struck over the extra cover region for a single. That was struck well but couldn't quite place it well.
16.4 Akshay Srinivasan to S Sujay, that was a tossed up delivery outside off, Sujay goes for the slog sweep but the ball keeps low and he gets beaten.
